08/42 to 11/42, 10th, 11th, 12th and 28th Troop Carrier Squadrons of the 60th Troop Carrier Group from Chelveston, moved to North Africa.
12/42 to 11/43, 34th, 43rd, 309th and 310th Troop carrier Squadrons of the 315th
Troop Carrier Group, moved to Welford.
to /45, Ministry of Aircraft Production Spitfire assembly and flight testing.
02/44, 401st, 402nd and 485th Fighter Squadrons of the 370th Fighter Group with P-38 Lightnings, moved to Andover.
03/44 to 02/45, 71st, 72nd, 73rd and 74th
Troop Carrier Squadrons of the, 434th Troop Carrier Group from Fulbeck with C-47Sytrains towing CG-4A Waco gliders. Group involved in D-Day and Operation 'Market' with the 101st Airborne Division, moved to France.
02/45 to 06/45, Used as a transit airfield by 53rd Troop Carrier Wing Groups.
06/45 to 12/45, Airfield used by RAF Technical Training Command.
/46 to 04/50, Airfield transferred to Ministry of Civil Aviation and used by BOAC aircraft for training.
