11/44, No. 11 Group Fighter Command, Squadrons based here at various times
up to the end of the war: 64, 118, 126, 129, 165, 234. Postwar also used
by 124, 56, 234, 245, 226 OCU and 61 OTU until the airfield closed 9/49.

F-86 Sabres of the 91st Fighter Interceptor Squadron,
81st Fighter Interceptor Group moved here from the USA
(92nd FIS and 116th
