Brownfield for building/industrial use. Many British TV series have been filmed here including the Channel 4 paintball series 'X Fire' in 2001/2 and the awful 'Space Cadets' in 2005, both using the control tower as HQ

Opened as Bomber Command Station 04/1944. Transferred to 11Gp Fighter Command 12/1944. Squadrons based here at various times up to end of war: 64, 118, 126, 129, 165, 234.
