Lt John Yavis, 323rd BS, 91st Bomb Group (H)
Here are some photos I found among my Dad's belongings. He was Lt John "Jack" Yavis and was a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress pilot with the 323rd BS, 91st BG, stationed at Bassingbourn from August 1944 to April 1945, he flew 52 combat missions.
Thanks very much for keeping this website to memorialize the brave men of the 8th US Army Air Force and their valiant contributionsto the air war in WW2.
