History:
R.N. station H.M.S. Ringtail for naval day and night fighters. Many aircraft types including: Helldivers, Seafires, Corsairs, Barracudas, Hellcats, Wildcats, Avengers, Swordfish and Fireflies.
Post war mainly Fireflies, flying ceased in May 1946.
Woodvale was satellite station, known as H.M.S. Ringtail II.
