4/41 to 11/42, 309 and 614 Sqns with army co-operation Lysanders. 12/42 transferred
to the Royal Navy becoming HMS Jackdaw II.2/43 to 3/43 825 Sqn with Swordfish, 4/43 to 8/43, 827 Sqn with Barracudas, 12/43 to 1/44, 813 Sqn with Swordfish. 2/43 to 9/43, 737 Sqn with Walrus amphibians. Airfield then used for storage until 1946 when it closed although the site was retained by the Navy until sold off in 1957. |
