History:
1931-6, Used as a civil aerodrome, also known as Dolley's Farm.
10/37 to 5/47, Airfield rebuilt with more hangars and buildings and opened to No. 18 Elementary and Reserve Flying Training School with DH Tiger Moths run by Universal Flying Services. 9/39, Combined with No. 19 E&RFTS from Gatwick and renamed Elementary Flying Training School.
5/47 to 7/53, Renamed No. 18 Reserve Flying School with DH Chipmunks and Avro Ansons, airfield sold in 1967.
