11/42 to 06/43, 38 Wing, Army Co-operation Command.
06/43 to 08/43, Transferred to Fighter Command, 175 Sqn with Hurricanes and Typhoons, 181, 182 and 183 Sqns with Typhoons, 412 and 602 Sqns with Spitfires.
08/43 to 10/44, No 2 Group, Tactical AF. 320 Sqn with Mitchells, 107, 613 and 305 Sqns with Mosquitoes. Heavily involved in Operations Overlord and Market.
11/44 to /45, No 84 Group Support Unit training replacement aircrews. Later became Group Disbandment Centre.
01/45 to /48, 49 MU.
03/45 General Aircraft Ltd based servicing Mosquitos.
10/48 Airfield closed to RAF but used since for gliding and aviation engineering.
