08/43 to 09/43, 1678 Heavy Conversion Flight from East Wretham, moved to Foulsham. 12/43 to 05/44, 169 Sqn Mosquitos from Ayr, moved to Great Massingham. 12/43 to 06/45, 515 Sqn with Beaufighters then Mosquitos. 05/44 to 09/45, 23 Sqn Mosquitos from the Mediterranean. 12 Lancasters and 43 Mosquitos were lost on operations from Little Snoring. 07/45 to 09/45, 141 Sqn Mosquitos from West Raynham. Airfield then on care and maintenance until the 1950's when it was used for several years by a civillian anti-aircraft co-operation unit with Spitfires and Vampires. Airfield then used for civilian flying. |
