391st Bombardment Group with B-26 Marauders.First mission flown 15/02/44, 20 Marauders were lost in action from this Station before the unit moved to France. IX Troop Carrier Command C-47s here briefly in late 1944.  Late 1944 to
15/10/45 transferred to 38 Group and the Operational & Refresher Training
Unit moved here with Stirlings then Halifaxes.04/45 to 10/45 No 1677 Target Towing Flight with Martinets. |
