4/41 to 4/44, many fighter Sqns based here on coastal patrols and fighter sweeps over France.
4/44 to 8/44, transferred to 19 Group Coastal Command with three Fleet Air Arm Sqns, 816 with Swordfish, 849 and 850 with Avengers on anti E-boat patrols.
1/9/44 to 23/11/44, airfield on care and maintenance.
23/11/44 to 4/45, used by Transport Command personnel en route to Europe.
1/5/45 to 6/4/46, airfield on care and maintenance and used by ATC for gliding.
1950 to 1952, used for civil flights.
1957 to present, gliding and private aviation.
