History:
3/44 to 8/45, 832nd, 833rd, 834th and 835th Bombardment Squadrons of the 486th Bombardment Group (Heavy) with B-24 Liberators, replaced 8/44 with B-17 Flying Fortress bombers, flew 188 missions (46 with B-24s) for the loss of 33 aircraft in action.
Postwar the hangars were used for storage.
