History:
/05/1944 to /06/1945, No. 85 Squadron with bomber support de Havilland Mosquito night fighters from West Malling, credited with 43 kills before moving to Castle Camps.
/05/1944 to /08/1945, No. 157 Squadron with Mosquitos from Valley, credited with 28 kills before disbanding here.
/06/1944 to /08/1944, No. 85 and 157 Squadrons were based at West Malling to counter the V1 Flying Bomb threat, 85 Squadron shot down 30 and 157 Squadron 40.
/10/1945 to /11/1947, No. 274 Maintenance Unit formed here to store and then scrap Mosquitos, sub sites at North Creake and Oulton.
Airfield closed in 1947 and sold in 1957.
