1. Mystery Civil control tower . . .
Airfield?:
A photo of a superb art deco style 1930s aerodrome terminal building / watch office but unfortunately no date or location, any ideas?! The only caption on the photo was 'gate, Gries'

2. Mystery RAF control tower . . .
Airfield?:
A superb wartime photo but unfortunately no date or location only USAAF aircraft, any ideas?!
Tower Type:
Watch Office for All Commands 15371/41 (small front windows) with rooftop Visual Control Room - only around 16 of these towers were built
Features:
Shows several unique features - large VCR and rooftop structure, thicker type front balcony having strengtheners with metal end plates, reinforcements to the rooftop handrail bases - in the background can be seen a B-17 Flying Fortress, P-51 Mustang AND several B-24 Liberators...

A superb post-war photo but unfortunately no date or location, any ideas?!
Tower Type:
Watch Office for All Commands 343/43 with rooftop Visual Control Room - approximately 25 of these towers were built
Features:
Shows several unique features - large VCR, handrails do not go the full length of the balcony, double height handrails above stairs (with structure and what looks like an old style movie camera), door on front left side would normally only be a window, late build strengtheners under balcony with metal end plates, no buildings visible near to the tower, hangar? in the far distance, airfield background shows no distinguishing features, hills, woods, etc
Other:
Photo indicates an airfield that was used for postwar flying
Possibilities:
Carnaby, Chedburgh, Church Lawford, Down Ampney, Fairford, Stanton Harcourt, Sumburgh, Whitchurch . . . believed to be the ex-BOAC Whitchurch control tower, once home of the = = = = Flying Club, can anyone confirm this?
