History:
11/43 to ?/45, 18 Operational Training Unit, satellite to Finningly with Martinet, Oxford, Tomahawk and Wellingtons. Finningley's Bomber Command Instructors School continued to use the airfield until 1946.
11/46 to 06/48, RAF Flying Training Command, airfield then closed.
08/52 to 05/58, Reopened when No 211 Advanced Flying School formed here with Meteors, 06/54 renamed No 211 Flying Training School, 06/56 became No 4 Flying Training School with Provost and Vampires.
05/55 to 03/57, 616 Auxiliary Sqn here with Meteors.
