![]() 05/1941 transferred to 12 Group Fighter Command as satellite to Digby with Hurricane 1s of No. 402 Squadron. Replaced with Defiants and later Beaufighters of No. 409 Squadron RCAF from 07/1941 to 02/1943 then 12/1943 to 02/1944. Mosquito MkIIs of No. 410 Squadron RCAF here from 02/1943 to 10/1943 on nightfighter defence duties and 'Ranger' ops with single Mosquitos attacking specific European road and rail targets at night. No. 307 (Polish) Squadron here with Mosquito XII, leaving 05/1945. 1959 to 1963 re-opened with No. 142 Squadron Thor ICBM unit. |
